The Global Goals

Adopted by all UN Member States on 25 September 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

The 17 goals and 169 targets are interconnected with progress in one area moving the needle for another. Creating a global plan of action, the Global Goals will act as a catalyst to drive progress for people, planet and prosperity while leaving no one behind.

For the goals to be reached, everyone needs to do their part: governments, the private sector and civil society.

Here's a snapshot of all 17 Goals.
