Urgent Warning: The IPC acute food insecurity analysis from December 2023 highlighted an alarming risk of Famine by May 2024 without immediate cessation of hostilities and sustained access for essential supplies. Sadly, conditions persist, and Famine is now imminent in northern governorates, projected between mid-March and May 2024. In the most likely scenario, both North Gaza and Gaza Governorates face IPC Phase 5 (Famine), with approximately 70 percent (around 210,000 people) classified in IPC Phase 5 (Catastrophe). Immediate action is imperative to avert this humanitarian crisis.
