We look back on an action-packed year, with highlights ranging from the successful UN Food Systems Summit in September and the N4G Summit in December, and COP26 placing food systems firmly on the global agenda. We also saw challenges continue and exacerbate, including that of rising hunger as found by the 2021 SOFI report, humanitarian crises including triggered by climate change raging around the world and livelihoods being disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The biggest challenge to the world is believing that someone else will save it.” – Victor Mugo, World Food Day at Expo 2020 Dubai
To drive action on food systems transformation and good food for all in 2022, the Hub has created a social kit that reviews highlights from the past year and calls attention to upcoming SDG2 moments. The kit includes 31 social tiles that underline key developments in food systems, agriculture, health, climate and nutrition with accompanying drafted social media messaging. Please share this content across social media platforms.
Find the full set of tiles and toolkit for download at the bottom of this page.
