Title: Closing the Nutrition Financing Gap through Country Specific Commitments and Accountability

Session Blurb:

This side event showcases domestic and aligned investments and explores ways in which the global architecture can enhance support to country-led efforts to mobilise and track resources aligned with national priorities. 

During this event, Ministers (or alternates) from two countries, Nigeria and Ethiopia, share successes and challenges in mobilising and tracking domestic financing and donor financing that is aligned with national priorities. The Ministers from the two countries will also be invited to share their views on how the global nutrition support system (e.g. SUN Movement, Nutrition for Growth, Global Alliance Against Poverty and Hunger, the Global Nutrition Report etc) can better support countries to mobilise and track financing that is aligned with their priorities. 

Following the interventions by the two Ministers, representatives from the SUN Movement, Nutrition for Growth, Global Alliance Against Poverty and Hunger, and Global Nutrition Report and others will be invited to share their views on how their organisations / initiatives can better respond to country support needs and promote better alignment of donor assistance with country specific priorities.
