At the Africa Food Systems Forum 2026, the Chefs’ Manifesto team will join different partners to demonstrate how chefs drive change in our food systems.
Daily events at the Kigali Food Festival will connect people, ideas, and ingredients; convene diverse voices; and catalyse action for sustainable food systems.
Chefs, farmers, researchers, advocates, and policymakers will unite at masterclasses, conversations, tastings, and shared meals to explore challenges and opportunities shaping Africa’s food future.
The programme will showcase our plates as powerful platforms to ask: How can we champion indigenous ingredients? What does a fairer, more resilient food system look like? How can chefs help strengthen biodiversity, support farmers and inspire healthier, more sustainable diets? What are the crops we need to grow and eat more of?
