Healthy foods shouldn't be a luxury. We know what drives the price—and we know many of the solutions. So what’s stopping us?

It’s not your imagination. The average cost of a healthy diet has increased 25% since 2021.
👉Around one in three people globally cannot afford good... food, making the cost of nutritious food one of the biggest barriers to ending hunger and malnutrition.
👉Around 70% of the price people pay is added after food leaves the farm, through storage, transport, processing and other parts of the food system.
👉The percentage of people unable to afford a healthy diet is highest in Africa (66.6%) and double that of other regions.

We are entering a crucial period as world leaders gather across global summits. Now is the time to raise our voices together and remind decision-makers that healthy, good foods shouldn't be a luxury.
